GROWING TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN OUR COMMUNITY
As the first church in Acts met in homes, today, we see that God’s
provision of these physical spaces — church buildings — allow “the
church” to worship, be together and do mission for God. They provide
space where more of us are able to join in fellowship with one another to worship and do the work of God’s Kingdom. God has blessed Copper Canyon Baptist Church with a vision to accommodate the more of us for worship and ministry.
Building Program
Copper Canyon Baptist Church is looking toward the future.
In 2020 the church purchased 7 lots totaling 7 acres of land on a hill above old town Copperopolis off of Antelope Street. This beautiful property has amazing views of the valley below and lots of space for a sanctuary, multipurpose room, outdoor activity space and parking.
The church immediately put the land to use holding outdoor
Sunday services and other small activities on the land as the weather and
safe COVID 19 protocols allowed. Since the land purchase, a building committee
was formed and consists of 11 church members who are working on both short and
long term initiatives to create the permanent physical home for Copper Canyon
Baptist Church.
